El Chalten
El Calafate - El Chalten: 140 miles
We hit the road as a pack of 5, leaving Leo behind where we found him (chatting with the Colombian chick at the internet cafe). The road was paved (surprise), and the views spectacular.

Just so it doesn't ever go forgotten… When we arrive at the somewhat busy campsite at destination, I pull in last, and choose to stop on the worst section of the uneven ground. While everyone is getting off, here I am, stuck with the bike on a hill, my foot in a ditch, and the handlebars at inadvertent full lock, relentlessly pressing the tankbag on the horn switch. After holding up in that position long enough that the blaring horn now has EVERYONE's attention, we roll almost upside down under looks of disbelief followed by unstoppable laughter! Why isn't our instinct to pull out the camera instead of helping the bike up, lol? (Well, actually, Simon's was to bang on my helmet while yelling Stupid! Stupid! Yeah, thanks there mate ;)

Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy signal our arrival to El Chalten.

The ride to Lago del Desierto was fascinating.

Trekking options are plenty for the motivated.

Salud!
