Approaching Rio Tranquilo
After a boat trip to the Marble Caves, we headed towards Valle de los Exploradores on a small road that is still work in progress. About 28 miles into the ride, and not long before the road ends, we reached our target: Thomas and Catherina's self built hosteria. Their cozy place is still truly secluded, but that may change in the future when the road gets completed. The friendly German couple generate their own electricity, and get snowed in for months at a time each year! Thomas' home made bread was a pleasant surprise, and the food was great.
