Entre Lagos - Puerto Varas: 130 miles (long way around the lake)
Before crossing back into Chile, we took a leisurely ride south to Villa la Angostura for lunch. Parked on the main drag, Richard took his time preparing a gourmet sandwich, then made the mistake of turning his back to it for a second. The restaurant it is then. When we left for the border, we left behind one happy dog.
After spending a night camping at Entre Lagos, we headed towards Osorno, then turned south to reach Puerto Varas the long way, circling Lago Llanquihe with excellent views of the Osorno Volvano.

Tucked in on the south coast of Lago Llanquihe, Puerto Varas is a cute little tourist city popular among the locals. The pizza at D'Alessandro was possibly one of the best I've ever had. Also noteworthy were the roadside berries. Free for the picking and delicious.
